The Greatest Virtues

Virtues abound on earth like sands. It is found every where but not all virtues are "valuable". In fact, virtues has category and can categorically be differentiated between series of virtues. We are left to ask a question to phantom which virtue is the greatest. Of a truth, there is no little virtue as no one is indispensable.
our virtues are our possessions. Our licence to live among our fellow men. it is what differentiate us from one another. we need to hold strictly unto our virtues and let it make way for us. It is our greatest weapon on earth.

How do we know we have virtues?

Buddah says," Just as treasures are uncovered from the earth, so virtue appears from good deeds, and wisdom appears from pure and peaceful mind. to walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of virtue". It can be extracted from the above quote that our virtues can be seen in our deeds; our attitude, character and dispensation. It is what comes out of us that we are called by. We are not complete without virtues, that is why it is said that beauty without virtue is like a rose without scent.

kinds of virtues

"As far as I'm concerned, I prefer silent vice to ostentatious virtue."- Albert Einstein.  There are lots of virtues in us. A lot that can be seen in our deeds. Whether we are extroverts or introverts, timid or vivacious. our action depicts different virtues. However, it can be summed up as the fruits of the spirit and the fruits of the flesh.
Some of us are so lousy and arrogant in our dispensation. We show off and do things extremely. No matter how good we are individually, if we do not do things for the sake of the common people around us, our virtue is useless.
Some of us are like a goose plucking grass. Upon a common thought to herself affronted by a horse who fed near her; and, in hissing accents, thus addressed him:" I am certainly a more noble and perfect animal than you, for the whole range and extend of your faculties is confined to one element. You can walk upon the ground as well as you; I have, besides, wings with which I can raise myself in the air; and when I please, I can sport on ponds and lakes, and refresh myself in the cool waters. I enjoy the different powers of a bird, a fish, and a quadruped."
The horse, snorting some what disdainfully replied:" It is true you inhabit three elements, but you make no very distinguished figure in any one of them.  You fly, indeed; but your flight is so heavy and clumsy, that you have no right to put yourself on a level with the lark or the swallow. You can swim on the surface of the waters, but you cannot live in them as fishes do; you cannot find your food in that element, nor glide smoothly along the bottom of the waves. And when you walk, or rather waddle, upon the ground, with your broad feet and your long neck stretched out, hissing at everyone who passes by, you bring upon yourself the derision of all beholders. I confess that I am only formed to move upon the ground; but how graceful is my make! How well turned my limbs! How highly finished my whole body! How great my strength! How astonishing my speed! I had  more rather be confined to one element, and be admired in that, than be a goose in all!

Another form of virtue that only few tends to be giving attention is the power of scarcity. making yourself fit into that element is a weapon with huge prize. i can tell you that the best way to loss your value, your adored virtue is to make yourself always available.
The five virtues of the cork........to be continued!
